Strange mix of feelings in my chest. Nervous yet excited. Sad that I'm leaving friends behind but also happy at the prospect of making new friends and seeing some old ones as well. Really going to miss my family and friends...and my bed! Kind scared as well. First time leaving home. Have to start fending for myself. Guess this day had to come. I cant be staying with my parents forever. Need to move out on my own eventually. Just seems so fast. But finally I'll be a free bird. But freedom comes with responsibility. Seems so emo la this post. Getting to formal. Need to add some la to it. Make it more Malaysian.

I don't really know who reads my blog. But to all my friends. I'll list a few... Lulu, Supha, Germaine, Laiitha, Anisa, Chiew, Alyssa, Foo, Shalu, not forgetting Kirat (although your in Perlis), Arveen, Yomana etc etc...Really going to miss you guys.. Hope we still remain in touch even after a long long time to come.. Good thing got Facebook ah.. and blogs as well... atleast I'll know what u guys up to...

Take care!! Everyone was smsing me and asking me where I'll be going and I didnt even know that the letter arrived. Called my "kakak" and asked her to open the letter. Was to curious to wait. She wasnt sure where to look since a huge package arrived wid so many different papers and booklets. So had to wait somemore. Thank god Dad came back durin lunch time since he was travelling to Malacca on that day. So he gave me the good news. I was among the lucky few who managed to get United Kingdom. Before I can pursue my medical degree in UK I'll have to undergo a 2 year IB( International Baccalaureate ) Diploma Program. Seems super hard yet it looks fun. So I'll be off to MARA College Banting on the 23rd of June. Finally I'll officially become a college student. Unfortunately I have to wear Baju Kurung everyday to class. Need to go baju kurung shopping.

Kind of excited to enter college life. Really excited to see how this IB course is going to be like. Read up on in it on this website. http://www.kmb.edu.my/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=74&Itemid=98

Kind of excited bout the world literature thing. Seems interesting. Might be taking Franch as my second language if its offered. Otherwise i'll have to look at other options. Need to filling up all the forms fast and do a full medical checkup.

Looks like i'll be having busy weeks ahead getting everythin ready before I go off.

As I Predicted

As I predicted this blogging thing wasnt going to last. And my sis still hasnt helped me pimp up my blog so no mood to blog.. I think once its pimped up i might be more active.. Unfortunately nothing much is happening that i can actually blog about.. Simple my life is currently very i repeat very very very boring!.. Everyday seems so predictable.. Wake up, chat wid arveen, take a bath, have lunch, back wid arveen, den around 4 he leaves so watch kyle xy and i'm stuck day dreaming in my room. Then watch kasam se at 7.30. Then chit chat wid my maid and mum. Then back on9. Then sleep. Practically d same routine day after day.. I promise i'll update wen something interesting actually happens..For now i'm indirectly involved in things i normal would not like to get involved in but i cant tell u anythin bout dat.. I'm not at liberty to discuss it.. All i have to say is i'm really disappointed.. never in my wildest dreams would i expect such things from u.. I know u wont be reading this but all i have to say is, i've lost all respect i once had for u..
Alright i got to go now..
Kirat and Arveen:Thank u for waiting patiently while i update...hehe..I know u both will be visiting after i finish...so leaving a closing note for u... :)
continuation....

I think i've been dragging this to long...I better finish of this HSA story...
Day 3
In the morning we went to the ENT specialist.. where we were each dumped in a different doctor's room.. me and lavena were 2gather... our doctor was quite young and friendly... we got to see a girls swolen tonsils.. poor girl.. her voice was all funny... and the tonsils were severely swollen on both sides.. we also got to see the doctor do a scope... he stuff this fibre optic wire down a man's nose... we could see the man's nose hair(eew..) and his throat and voice box... the doctor was nicely stuffing the wire down his nose and showing us on the skrin, wad was this and wad was that while the man was suffering there... durin lunch kirat told us that arveen plucked up the courage to call up the mortuary dude to book a time they could come visit... so they were goin around 4...me and lavena went back to our group since we had to go to the medical ward... again due to the unsystematic planing of this event... one sister brought us to the wrong nurse.. another nurse was waitin for us somewhere else... so after the nurse brought us around... she let us do wad eva we wanted... coz she din noe where else to bring us... so some of the ppl decided to go back early..since for 2 days we went back early... me and lavena decided to go visit the A and E to check out if there was anything interesting goin on... so the 2 other chinese gals also followed us along.. unfortunately that they we got caught by 1 of the nurses and she asked the 2 chinese gals which group they were in and dey said 5... dat was d end.. she started nagging... askin us all wad we were doin dere and y werent we at d ward... we said d nurse let us go... dis lady said d nurse has been waitin for us so long... how would we noe... we were sent to the wrong nurse...so meanly while the right nurse was thinkin me din even visit d ward which we did... and she gave us a long lecture about us being late and making her wait and all dat crap... thank god she din realise that 3 ppl werent dere... 1 fellow was already in the mum's car, anuder was already in the bus... and last guy was already at home... so we couldnt call dem back... so our poor ketua got scolding... den we were dragged along to the wards... there was one lady wid HIV who was allergic to the hiv medications so she developed a rather strange rash... we den went to the ladies medical ward... were we met 2 very friendly doctors... who actually were willing to talk 2 us... there was another doctor who showed us a PR... which stands for pre rectal...basicly he just stuffed a finger up an old women's ass... while waiting to go back i managed to convince my ketua to actually call the mortuary guy... since i had the num in my hp.. bt the mortuary guy din pick up... after a while i got an incoming call... since i din noe the man's name i saved it under mortuary... so the mortuary was calling me back... faster gave the phone to the ketua fellow and we booked the next mornin to come visit...wen we were about to go back... it was rainin... thank god kirat brought an umberella so we took a bus to cs and then took another bus to permas from there... it was kirat's 2nd time takin a bus in her life...

Day4
A tiring day since i was on- call till 10 that night... we went to the psychiatric ward in the mornin... we didnt actually get to see the ward aso... we were just in some room where a guy was talkin bout the department...frankly a waste of time... so we din reli hang around dere long....we den walked all the way up to the mortuary... which was quite far away... wen we got there... the mortuary dude... gave as a brief intro and started to bring us around... the 1st room we entered wasnt reli scary at all... juz a slightly funky smell.. he showed us a dead chinese man... wasnt as scary as i thought it would be... dere were also dead babies in the freezer but it was all wrapped up so we couldnt reli see... there were also dead foetus in tiny little packages but we couldnt actually see them... we then walked through this very narrow lane towards the back where the post mortem room was and freezer was... i wonder how the could ever fit a very fat man through that narrow lane... the freezers weren't as scary as in the movies... the place was brightly lit... not like in the movies where its dark and smoke is comming out from every where... so it wasnt as spooky... bt the smell was even more funkier at the back... we werent actually allowed to watch a post mortem... bt i caught a glimpse of them sucking fluid out of the dead body... next door was a dead baby just being brought in... but we werent allowed to look in the room...d mortuary dude showed us the tools they used... cool yet scary... the saw the used to open the skull was so freakin loud... and the knifes were huge... not reli looking forward to using the saw thingy...
after lunch my group went to the A and E.... the man brought us around and told us we had to juz walk around and watch till 10!!!... so me and lavena went walkin about here and dere... we went out to go 2 the cafeteria...as we were coming back in the ward... this man caught us... and asked us where we were going and all... we thought we were in for it... but thank god he was actually askin us to do him a favour... since there wasnt and female nurses around and the patient who's knee got cut and needed stiching was a lady he asked us to be witnesses... he couldnt be alone in the room with her... so we were standing dere watching her get sticthed... she was a thai lady who came for a holiday... den she was complaining to us so long...

thai lady: " u noe ah., all this happen becoz of fried banana... i juz wana eat fried banana and all this happen...
i was wonderin wad d hell was fried banana and how come i never tried it b4... den i realised its actually goreng pisang... lol..

thai lady: malaysia police ah so good ah.... dey save me.. if not i sure die wan... reli i tell u...
malaysian ppl don care me ah... dey juz point me and say pain ah... malaysia police oni help me 1 ah.. i reli like malaysia police... malaysia doctors aso very good ah... thank u ah doctors...

num 1) the cut was so tiny... she wouldnt have died...lol
num 2) we werent even doctors and she was thankin us...

funny lil lady... poor thing aso... came all the way for a holiday and wanted to eat goreng pisang b4 she fell... and she din even reach the goreng pisang stall...lol..

me and lavena were talkin stories all night till 10... since there werent any interesting cases...

Day 5
Finally the last day, we went to the medical clinic... it was a friday so most of the clinic werent open... so we juz moved around from 1 room to the next... the oni thing worth seeing was them taking blood... besides that it was pretty uneventful... we come out early and went to the A and E where kirats group were at... again wen their group was dere something was happening... dere was this lady who had heart probs... dey were doin cpr for her... me and kirat can were checkin out Dr Rango... while watchin the procedure...hehe... unfortunately the lady died after almost 45 mins of cpr... felt kind sad for the family... the came in and juz broke down in tears... since it was 12,30 and we had to go... so we went out... and kirat's group mate snapped a direct pic of rango for her... hehe... i think he doesnt comb his hair coz he looks so mess in the pic.. bt yet still cute...
after our break we had to head over to the hall again for the closing ceremony..and as we were walking back dere... guess who we saw across the road.... RANGO.... hehe.. dats d last we saw of him... after the closing ceremony we went to cs... me, kirat and manjulah were juz hanging around den we suddenly felt like watching a movie... so we watched hotel for dogs since it as d earliest show... wasnt to bad actually... kinda touching...

So that's about all that happened during the 5 days in HSA... Kinda fun experience actually...Starting to miss the time there...

sorry if there's any speeling mistakes... to lazy to read backa nd correct it...

continuation....

Day 2
My group was still in the O& G department the next day... but this time we went to the Klinik Pakar and not the wards... Before i go any further, i have 2 mention how badly planned the schedule was... It wasnt distributed properly and not every group got to go to every department... if they actually arranged the time table properly every1 could have the chance to go to every department and we wouldnt have wasted our time in some departments where we couldnt even do anythin or see anythin... basically there was nothing much 2 see that day... the only interesting thing that we could have seen in that department was sperm donation... but dere wasnt any donation that day so we didnt get 2 see anything... so we just sat around chit chatted away..then we sneaked out for lunch around 12, thinkin we would bt the earlist but it seemed every1 else were dere earlier...kirat's group had to go to the A and E depatment or the kecemasan and trauma building... since they were on-call that day till 10 at nite.. my group had to go to the pediatric ward(wad kanak- kanak)... no1 was willing to give us a tour... the sister and to force a doctor to give us a tour which she reluctantly did... while waiting to be attended to... we saw a lil indian boy tryin to run away from d ward... he was laughin and running past the doctor... it took a while for the doctor to register that a kid was runnin away... she had to run 2 d lift and catch him... and as we were being briefed about the ward... d kid made a 2nd attempt... lol.. but was caught my his mum... there were so many cute lil sick kids.. felt so sad for them... there was a poor kid whos whole face was burnt by hot coffee... poor kid couldnt even open his eyes... again our group managed to get permission to leave early.. so around 3.45 every1 was leaving... me and lavena again decided to visit manju and kirat's group... wen we got to the A and E department.. there was an interesting case goin on... a poor tiny lil 9 year old boy who was coming back from his sekolah agama got hit on the leg by a taxi and he fell of the dad's bike and fell head 1st into a drain... thank god he was wearing a songkok so his head was fine... but this leg was scraped.... the flesh was hanging loose.. juz below his knee cap... the doctor's juz pulled out the hanging flesh and chucked it aside... the were washing the the leg.. and u could see his bones.. it was broken in 3 parts... they tried closing the curtains on us... but each time the closed 1 curtain we ran the otherside.. so they finally gave up and let us watch... at the same time me and kirat noticed a cute nerdy clinical student who was dere holding the kids leg while they were puring water on it... despite his eistein hairstyle... he was kinda cute... supposedly his name was rango... bt it actually wasnt bt we still call him rango... while watchin the very interesting case we were also watching the very interesting doctor... hehe... according to kirat who was there till 10.. nothing reli interesting happened after i left at 6...

5 Day Stint in HSA

Last week from the 23rd till the 27th, me and Kirat had to go for this Program Pendedahan Kerjaya Seorang Doctor since we applied for the JPA scholarship for medicine and they sent us for this program so that we're certain we want to do medicine. Loads of people who actually get the scholarship end up quiting half way due to the pressure, a large marjority do medicine not because they are genuinely interested but because their parents want them to. A lot off them end up giving up half way or cracking under the pressures on the houseman years..(2 actualyy commited suicide according to rumors). So thats why this JPA people sent us for this program to ensure that we're serious about this and can deal with the job... So we went to HSA.. i was really relieved to have Kirat there, atleast i didn't have to face the unknown alone.. They were very strict about clothing.. they didn't allow jeans and t-shirts.. So i had to get some slacks and office shirts.. It was so not my stlye.. But i still looked HOT.. hehe...so it wasnt to bad..Around 80 plus people attended this program. we were divided into 7 groups.. Kirat and I were separated but it was ok.. Made a couple of new friends and got to actually get to know some people whom i knew before only not so well.. Lavena and Manjulah who are both for SSI... i knew them before this but never really hung out with them.. It was kinda fun chit chattin wid them in the cafeteria durin break... very nice people indeed.. and araveen as well who i still dont know to well.. but the stories bout him are hilarious..

I'll start with DAY 1
there were initialy 12 members in my group, 4 malay boys, 2 chinese boys, 2 chinese gals, 2 malay gals, and 2 indian gals( me and lavena)...
our very 1st department was O&G which stands for Obstetric and Gynecology... which is the department that handles birth and female reproductive probs.. LOL...
We couldnt enter the labour room all in 1 go so we split up.. Me and Fatin were the 1st to enter the labour room, while the rest when to barat 3 and timur 3.... 1 of it is the anti-natal(b4 birth) and post natal ward(after birth)... and the other is the gynecology ward...
When we were in the labour room we were actually hoping to witness an actual birth... we were waitin for 1 lady to give birth for some time... but the baby wasnt ready... so we decided to walk 2 another room to see a mother seeing her newborn baby for the 1st time... the baby was so tiny.. all wrapped up... so cute... then as we were about to go back to the other ladies room... BAM! The baby's out and their already bring it to the cleaning room... We were waiting so long for it 2 cum out and it didnt... when we just went away a short while she's out.. Haih.. so we missed the labour but atleast we got to see them cleanin the baby up... it was a bit slimy.. and blue... so the had to heat the baby up a while... den stuffed a tube down its throat to suction out all the fluid.. den dey weighed it and wrapped it up...
The 2 chinese girls that went in after us actually got 2 see a real labour... the ante-natal and post natal ward was kinda boring.. nothing much to see except mothers feeding their babies... supposedly HSA has 1 of the most busy O&G ward in Msia.. Average of 30 to 40 births a day... SERIOUSLY.... 30 to 40 and we didnt even get to see 1!!!

The rest of the day was pretty boring cause we were juz hangin around here and dere waitin for the sister to bring us around... every1 seemed a lil to busy to tell us anythin... we were supposed to leave at 5 but since our group had nothing else to do and every1 was so bored the nurse let us go back at 3.30.. bt me and lavena being the good 1's decided to hang around and visit Kirat's group since Manjulah is also in her group... i was supposed to wait for kirat and lavena wanted to wait for manjulah... so we went to the male surgery ward.. where they were juz hanging around walking around aimlessly...manjulah found some eye candy to drool on... he was kinda cute... bt unfortunately for her, he was ENGAGED...

so thats about all for day 1... we'll move on to day 2 later... hands pain edi la...

Resurrection of My Blog

Most people don't know that i used to have a blog which was made after PMR. But it was never really alive. I hardly updated it at all and i never gave anyone the link. I don't know why i'm restarting my blog because i'm pretty sure this isn't going to last long either. But since i have nothing better to do at home and new blogs seem to be poppin up everywhere, so here i am back in the blogging world. I know this blog is kinda sad but I'm really clueless when it comes to changing blogskins... I'm counting on Veena( my sis) to set it up for me since she's more then willing to. Hopefully she pimps up my blog nicely..

Well, these past few days have actually been quite eventful so i cant actually write something...
FINALLY something is actually happening in my life besides sleeping, eating, and on9-ing...
But i'll save my stories for the next post... hehe
